Georgia Launches “Career Clear” Campaign to Highlight the Value of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education
ATLANTA, GA–In a strategic move to underscore the importance of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) in fostering a skilled workforce for the future, the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) in partnership with the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) has unveiled a new digital marketing initiative named “Career Clear.” This campaign aims to enlighten students, educators, and parents across the state about the myriad benefits and opportunities provided by CTAE pathways.
“Career Clear” is designed to showcase the versatility and depth of CTAE, which encompasses 144 distinct pathways leading to a wide array of career opportunities. These pathways offer students the flexibility to pursue two-year postsecondary education, engage in internships and apprenticeships, or step directly into the workforce.
“Georgia’s recognition as the number one state in the nation for business is not just a title; it’s a reflection of our dynamic economic environment and the growing career opportunities available to our citizens,” said Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp. “As we continue to grow and attract diverse industries and high-caliber businesses, the demand for a skilled and educated workforce has never been higher. Initiatives like ‘Career Clear’ are essential in preparing our high school students to seize these opportunities, ensuring that our talent is ready. Together, we are building a stronger Georgia, where all of our education paths lead to recognized industry credentials, postsecondary success, and a job offer.”
The initiative highlights how CTAE courses are tailored to meet the evolving needs of Georgia’s businesses and industries, ensuring that the education provided is both relevant and practical. By promoting an early start in CTAE courses in high school and continuing into any of Georgia’s 22 technical colleges, “Career Clear” emphasizes that students can discover their passions and embark on fulfilling career journeys in a cost-effective manner.
“Our goal with ‘Career Clear’ is to illuminate the path for Georgia’s youth towards high-demand careers that not only fulfill their personal aspirations, but also strengthen our state’s economy,” said TCSG Commissioner, Greg Dozier. “By highlighting the extensive range of careers, industries, interests, and educational opportunities within CTAE, we are empowering students to make informed choices about their futures.”
The campaign is set to leverage digital platforms extensively, aiming to reach a broad audience with its message of empowerment through education. By informing students and their families about the diverse options available within CTAE, the initiative seeks to inspire a new generation to explore careers that align with their talents and interests, while closing the skills gap in the state’s workforce.
